During the first ten months
or so of controlling my yeast condition and weight loss, I did
not exercise losing the first 125 pounds with no set or regular
program of any kind of workout. After I acquired my horses, I
worked hours daily caring for and training them. I do not recommend
no exercise weight loss,: however, if you are very overweight,
as I was (I was morbidly obese), I understand how tough it can
be to get started. Controlling my yeast problem gave me more
energy and made going to work a lot easier. Starting easy and
working your way up to carrying more weight, working longer,
and working harder is the key to putting together a program that
works for you without setting you up for too-much-too-soon failure.
I don't mean to suggest that
I recommend not exercising; in fact, I wish I'd started a program
right away, and built up slowly as suggested above. I'm sure
the weight would have moved off faster, and, even though there
was too much skin for exercise to fix, it would have strengthened
my muscles and left the body under the skin more toned. It would
also have made me stronger for the skin removal surgeries, and
recovery of muscles afterwards would have been faster. |
