Hugh Jackman

Hugh Michael Jackman (born October 12, 1968) is an Australian actor/producer who is involved in film, musical theatre, and television. Jackman has won international recognition for his roles in major films; he is most well known from his roles in the X-Men series, Kate & Leopold, Van Helsing, The Prestige, and Australia. Jackman also sings dances, and won a Tony Award for his role in The Boy from Oz.

In November 2008, People magazine named Hugh Jackman "Sexiest Man Alive."

At 6 ft. 2 in., all scruff and biceps, Hugh Jackman looms large in the epic Australia, which he says kept him "dirty 95 percent of the time" and left people stammering, "Oh ... my ... God," according to costar Nicole Kidman, who adds, "Women's jaws drop when Hugh walks into a room."



Hugh Jackman: Acting is something I love. It`s a great craft that I have a lot of respect for. But I don`t think it`s any greater challenge than teaching 8 year olds or any other career.
